REQUIRED MATERIALS

When you select “apply now,” you will be taken to our online application. You’ll record your video letter of intent directly there. Make sure that your letter of intent includes the following:

  • Why are you interested in the program?
  • How has your background prepared you
  • What specific career goals do hope to achieve with this internship

Make sure your resume includes the following:

  • Any work experience (paid or volunteer)
  • Community involvement
  • Other work/educational experiences that you have that may speak to your professionalism and philosophy

Letters of recommendation can come from professors, professional colleagues, or community members who can provide perspective on your work ethic and interpreting product. We welcome up to two letters of recommendation.

The final part of our online application includes two source texts for you to interpret. The application website will provide brief prep materials to read and watch before you record. You will record directly on to our website, and we will be able to review your work there. Both the ASL and English sources are designed to challenge you but are not impossible. We are not looking for perfection in your interpretation, but a sense of your current skill-set.

Upon being selected to move to the formal interview portion, we will conduct an interview to get to know you at a more personal level. We will ask you questions that are designed to learn more about who you are and if your skills are suited for our clients and work environments.
