THE STORY OF ACCESS INTERPRETING

Our story isn’t about the three of us directly; we were just the people that did it. Our story is about believing better is possible. We believe if you listen to your customers, take pride in your business, and do not compromise quality, then anything is possible.

We knew that better was possible.

Brad Leon and Lyle Vold, childhood friends turned colleagues, are no strangers to the Deaf community. Having grown up with Deaf parents and family members, both naturally turned to interpreting. After years of being in the field as interpreters, Brad and Lyle found themselves talking about the business of interpreting services and asking themselves questions like, “Is there a better way of doing things?”

With an overwhelming sense of mission, they needed Brad’s brother, Ryan Leon, to join the fold. Ryan brought with him the missing piece – his lens and experience as a Deaf person. Between the three of them, they had the right complement of perspective and experience to start their interpreting agency. In 2007, Access Interpreting was born.

Now, over ten years later,  their pursuit of “Better” continues to drive them forward. Turns out, better is always possible.
